1. Service definition

Menabòh is an Italian creative atelier specialising in bespoke sartorial redesign. We do not produce new collections. Every piece is co-created: your garment, our creative direction, Italian atelier craftsmanship. Menabòh is not a tailoring, repair, or alteration service.

2. Accepted garments

  • Italy: all garments are accepted.
  • UK and US: all garments are accepted. Menswear is currently excluded.

Any design proposal is subject to confirmation by Menabòh upon receipt of the garment. Should the garment differ significantly from its description at the brief stage, Menabòh reserves the right to propose a revised design, subject to client approval before production begins.

3. Preliminary inspection

If the client is unsure whether their garment is workable, they may send it for a physical inspection before committing to a full redesign. The inspection fee is €50 / $100 / £100.

Should the client proceed with the redesign, this fee is deducted from the final cost. If the garment is deemed unworkable, Menabòh will retain the inspection fee as reimbursement for garment handling costs.

4. The process

The standard process follows these steps:

  • The client submits a brief via the website (photos, description, style references).
  • Menabòh delivers 2 design proposals within 3 business days of receiving the brief.
  • The client selects a proposal and confirms payment on the website.
  • The client ships the garment (Menabòh arranges collection).
  • Production: standard timeline is 3 weeks from receipt of the garment at the atelier.
  • The garment is returned to the client.

Should the work require more than the standard 3-week timeline, the Menabòh team will proactively notify the client with a revised estimated timeline.

5. Co-creation and revisions

The Menabòh process is co-creative by nature. The client may share preferences, vision, and style references at the brief stage, and remain in contact with the team via WhatsApp customer service throughout the process.

Revisions to proposals are targeted adjustments within the direction indicated by the brief. Creative direction remains Menabòh's; the final result belongs to both parties.

6. Measurements

The client self-measures using the step-by-step video guide available on the website. The client is responsible for the accuracy of the measurements provided.

For every redesign, Menabòh works to the measurements supplied by the client and provides a measurement sheet certifying that the finished garment corresponds to the measurements received. Any fit issue arising from inaccurate measurements is therefore not attributable to Menabòh; see Section 13.

A paid in-person measurement session is available and can be selected at checkout.

7. Shipping the garment to Menabòh

Menabòh provides the shipping label for both legs of the journey. The client will receive all shipping instructions via email and WhatsApp.

  • Italy: standard option via Inpost drop-off points, distributed across the territory, or paid home collection via GLS.
  • UK: standard home delivery via UPS, or white glove concierge home collection at an additional cost.
  • US: standard option with UPS drop-off and home collection, or paid option with both home delivery and collection.

8. Return of the garment

The garment is returned via standard tracked courier or white glove delivery arranged in advance. The client receives a notification via email and WhatsApp when the package is dispatched.

9. Custody, insurance and liability

Menabòh insures the garment for both legs of transit, outbound and return, regardless of the courier type selected.

Menabòh's liability for loss of, or irreversible damage to, the garment applies while the garment is in Menabòh's custody — both in transit and at the atelier, including handling by Menabòh's executing partners. Save for this clause, Menabòh does not otherwise cover the intrinsic, sentimental, or market value of the garment.

In the event of loss or irreversible damage, Menabòh will refund the redesign cost paid by the client and, in addition, reimburse the garment according to the value declared by the client at the time of order, within the following bands (the same numerical value applies in EUR, USD, and GBP):

Declared garment valueMaximum garment reimbursement
Up to 500500
501 – 1,5001,000
1,501 – 3,0001,500
Over 3,0002,000 (absolute maximum)

The client must declare the original value of the garment when formalising the order; this declaration is a condition of the service. Any value declared above the top band is not covered beyond the absolute maximum. The reimbursement set out in this clause represents Menabòh's maximum liability and is accepted by the client at the outset. Menabòh may, where applicable, recover from the courier or other responsible party.

10. Pricing

Pricing varies based on the type and complexity of the intervention:

  • Edits (targeted creative interventions): 300 to 500
  • Redesign (full transformation): 500 to 1,500, depending on the complexity of the garment, the work involved, and the materials
  • Special occasionswear (complex, formal, or evening pieces): from 1,000, depending on the scope of the intervention and materials

Prices carry the same numerical value in EUR, USD, and GBP. All quotes are provided within 3 business days of receiving the brief. The minimum order value is 300 (EUR / USD / GBP).

11. Payment

Payment takes place in two stages:

  • Non-refundable deposit of €50 / $100 / £100, due at the garment intake stage (prior to sketch proposal, for fragile garments or extremely complex fabrics).
  • Full balance, due upon acceptance of the sketch proposal, before production begins.

Accepted payment methods: PayPal, Klarna, credit or debit card.

Accepted currencies: EUR (Italy), USD (US), GBP (UK). For clients based outside these territories, an additional international shipping fee applies and will be communicated after payment.

12. Cancellations and refunds

Once the balance is confirmed, the order is irreversible. The redesign process begins immediately upon payment and cannot be undone. No refund of the redesign fee is issued at any stage, neither before shipping nor during production, and both the deposit and the balance are non-refundable.

The only exceptions are those expressly set out in these terms: a valid post-delivery concern (Section 13) and loss of, or irreversible damage to, the garment while in Menabòh's custody (Section 9).

13. Post-delivery concerns

The client has 15 days from confirmed delivery to raise any concern. After 15 days, the redesign is considered accepted. Concerns are handled as follows:

  • Craft or construction defect attributable to Menabòh — Menabòh reworks the piece at no additional cost.
  • Result not matching the approved sketch — Menabòh repairs the garment, or takes it back into the atelier to correct it, at Menabòh's cost.
  • Fit issue — Menabòh produces the garment to the measurements provided by the client and supplies a measurement sheet confirming the finished garment matches those measurements. Fit issues arising from inaccurate measurements are not Menabòh's responsibility; corrections can be made at an additional cost, at the client's request.
  • Loss or irreversible damage to the garment — handled under Section 9 (Custody, insurance and liability).
  • Subjective dissatisfaction with a result that matches the approved proposal — not a valid concern; no remedy is due.

Where reworking or repair of a valid defect is objectively impossible, the matter is treated as irreversible damage and handled under Section 9.

14. Intellectual property and use of imagery

The redesigned garment belongs to the client, both physically and creatively. Menabòh retains rights over its creative direction as a general body of work and will not reproduce the same design concept for another client.

By proceeding with an order, the client agrees that Menabòh may use before/after images of the redesign, without identifying the client, for marketing purposes including website, social media, and press. Consent may be withdrawn at any time by contacting hello@menaboh.com. Should Menabòh wish to feature the client's name or personal story in any communication, explicit written consent will be requested in advance.

15. Privacy and data

Data collected per client includes: name, contact details, garment photos, body measurements, style preferences, and brief content. Payment data is handled directly by PayPal or Klarna and is not stored by Menabòh.

Style and aesthetic preference profiles may be retained and used to personalise future orders. The retention period is 5 years from the date of the last order.
