Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the redesign service offered by Menabòh S.r.l. through www.menaboh.com. By placing an order, you accept these terms in full.
1. The Service
Menabòh is an Italian creative atelier that redesigns garments into contemporary, one-of-one pieces through creative direction and Italian atelier craftsmanship. Menabòh is not a tailoring, alteration, repair, or upcycling service. Each redesign is co-created: your garment, our creative direction.
Service tiers:
- Edits (focused creative interventions): 150–300
- Redesign (full transformation): 300–600
- Special occasionswear (complex, formal, or eveningwear): from 800, depending on scope and materials
Prices are the same in EUR (€), USD ($), and GBP (£). Minimum order value: 150.
2. Garment Eligibility
- Italy: All garments accepted. Fast fashion is strongly discouraged but not excluded.
- UK & US: All garments accepted. Menswear is excluded for now.
- All conditions accepted — worn, aged, or damaged garments are welcome.
If a garment arrives and differs significantly from how it was described at submission, Menabòh reserves the right to propose a revised design. The client must approve any changes before production proceeds.
Pre-inspection: If Menabòh is uncertain whether a garment can be worked prior to shipping, the client may send it for a physical inspection at a fixed fee of €50 / $100 / £100. This fee is deducted from the final redesign cost if the order proceeds. If Menabòh determines the garment cannot be worked, the fee is non-refundable.
3. The Process
3.1 Brief Submission
Clients submit a brief via the website, including garment photos, a description, and style references. A 15-minute call may be requested for complex or unclear briefs.
3.2 Design Proposal
Menabòh delivers 2 design proposals (sketch + price) within 3 business days of the confirmed request. Proposals are presented on the website. If the client requests changes, Menabòh will coordinate and deliver a revised proposal within 3 business days.
3.3 Confirmation and Payment
The client selects a proposal and pays via the website (PayPal or Klarna). Payment is structured as follows:
- Deposit (non-refundable): €50 / $100 / £100 — due at proposal acceptance.
- Balance: the remaining amount — due before the garment ships to Menabòh or before production begins.
Once the balance is paid, the order is irreversible. No refunds are issued at any stage. The redesign process begins immediately upon full payment and cannot be undone.
3.4 Revisions to Proposals
Once the deposit is paid, Menabòh will rework proposals as many times as needed until the client is satisfied. In practice, revisions are typically iterative adjustments to one proposal.
3.5 Shipping the Garment to Menabòh
- Standard option: UPS at the client's expense.
- White-glove option: available as a paid upgrade (Menabòh arranges courier or network collection).
Menabòh selects reliable courier partners for all shipments. However, Menabòh acts as an intermediary and is not liable for loss or damage occurring during transit. In the event of loss or damage, Menabòh's maximum liability is limited to a refund of the redesign cost paid, and does not extend to the intrinsic, sentimental, or market value of the garment. This applies to both client-arranged and Menabòh-arranged shipping. In case of loss, Menabòh will open an investigation with the courier on the client's behalf.
3.6 Measurements
Customers self-measure using Menabòh's video guide and take responsibility for accuracy. A paid in-person measurement upgrade is available.
3.7 Production
Standard production SLA is 3 weeks from garment receipt at the atelier. The tailor must flag feasibility or cost issues within 36 hours of receiving the scope of work.
If production exceeds the 3-week SLA without prior notice, the client receives a 10% discount on their next order, valid for 1 year from the date of issue and extendable at Menabòh's discretion.
In cases of complex orders, high season periods, or unforeseen technical issues, Menabòh will communicate an updated estimated completion date proactively. If delays are significant and without prior notice, the client has the right to cancel the order. Menabòh is not responsible for delays caused by force majeure (e.g. strikes, natural disasters).
3.8 Return Shipping
Return shipping is via standard courier with tracking. The client receives a WhatsApp notification when the package ships. White-glove return delivery is available by prior arrangement.
4. Cancellation and Refunds
The order is irreversible once the balance has been paid. No refunds are issued:
- Before the garment is shipped
- While the garment is in transit
- During production
- After production is complete
Both the deposit and the balance are non-refundable. This applies because each redesign is a bespoke, personalised process that begins immediately upon full payment and results in a unique, irreversible transformation of the client's garment.
In accordance with Article 59, paragraph 1, letter (c) of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree No. 206/2005), the right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the supply of goods made to measure or clearly personalised. The client acknowledges and accepts this at the time of placing the order.
5. Garment Care and Liability
5.1 Damage During Production
If a garment is damaged during production, Menabòh's first obligation is to attempt full reconstruction — including proposing changes to the original agreed design if necessary. The client must be informed and approve any changes.
If reconstruction is not possible, Menabòh will refund the value of the garment. Garment value is determined as follows: the client declares the value at submission; Menabòh conducts a counter-assessment. In the event of disagreement, Menabòh's assessment prevails.
5.2 Fit Issues
Menabòh will always rework the garment to correct fit issues. For minor imprecisions — including those attributable to the client's measurements — Menabòh absorbs the cost as part of its commitment to the result. For significant rework required due to substantially inaccurate measurements provided by the client, the cost of the rework is the client's responsibility.
5.3 Stains
If a garment is stained during the production process, Menabòh will cover the cost of professional cleaning. If the garment arrives already stained or dirty, Menabòh will not cover cleaning costs, but will promptly inform the client of the garment's condition on receipt. If the stain cannot be removed, compensation will be offered based on the garment's value at the time of booking.
5.4 Proof of Purchase
To process any compensation or refund related to garment damage or loss, the client must provide proof of purchase showing the garment's original value.
6. Post-Delivery
The client has 15 days from confirmed delivery to raise concerns. After 15 days, the redesign is considered accepted.
Valid complaints within the 15-day window:
- Craft or construction defects, or execution that deviates from the approved proposal
- Fit issues (addressed under clause 5.2)
- Damage discovered on delivery
Subjective dissatisfaction with a result that matches the approved proposal is not a valid complaint.
Where a valid concern is raised, Menabòh will rework the piece. In the event that reworking is not possible, a full refund is issued. If the client is unsatisfied but the result matches the approved proposal, modifications can be requested at an additional cost.
7. Intellectual Property
The physical redesigned piece belongs to the client. The client also owns the specific design outcome.
Menabòh retains rights to its creative direction as a general body of work. Menabòh will not reproduce the same design concept for another client.
By placing an order, the client agrees that Menabòh may use before/after images of the redesign (without identifying the client) for marketing purposes — including website, social media, and press — unless the client explicitly opts out. If Menabòh wishes to use the client's name or personal story in any communication, explicit written consent is required in advance.
8. Pricing and Currency
Supported currencies: EUR (Italy), USD (US), GBP (UK). Prices are numerically equivalent across currencies. Clients based outside Italy, UK, and the US are welcome to order; an additional international shipping cost applies and is communicated at confirmation.
9. Data Protection
User data is processed in compliance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR). Full details are set out in the Privacy Policy. User data will not be shared with third parties without consent.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Italian law. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Arezzo.
11. Amendments
Menabòh reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Clients will be notified of material changes via email or website notice.
12. Liability Release
Menabòh is not liable for: damages caused by improper use of the service; errors resulting from incorrect or incomplete descriptions provided by the client at submission; or subjective aesthetic dissatisfaction with a result that conforms to the approved proposal.
